Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves opera and tangos, as well as the dramatic shows that she attends. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young student and professional. Following her move to California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in southern California. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties, performing traditional Latin American Music. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for art and music has her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her love and enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
