Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her roles in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! The actress began her career in the 80s before coming to popularity with her role in Tezaab, a film in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapoor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. She was born into the Mumbai middle class family and started dancing when she was a child. As a teen, she tried her hand at acting, but the majority of her early movies failed. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and became one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film industry. After her wedding ceremony, she took a break from her acting career prior to returning. Recently, she played a prominent part on the film Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is India's fourth highest civil honor. Her name is well-known for her charitable work as well.
